The Samsung Galaxy Y Pro is a new smartphone made for those of you with specific requirements when it comes to handsets. With it’s QWERTY keyboard and impressive body, the Samsung Galaxy Y Pro has been added to the group of ‘entry level’ handsets with ease. The Y in the name forms part of Samsung\'s new smartphone naming convention, which is made up of five categories: S (Super Smart) is for the very high-end smartphones, R (Refined) is for high-end, W (Wonder) is for upper mid-range, M (Magical) is for mid-range smartphones and Y (Young) is for entry level smartphones. The Y pro is run on Android v2.3 software and weighs a modest 109g. With the generous combination of a physical keyboard and optical track pad, text-lovers won’t be disappointed. You’ll be using the optical track pad on the 2.6 inch touchscreen which glistens as it sits above the QWERTY keyboard in widescreen aspect. There’s an accelerometer sensor and user interface which will happily auto-rotate when you turn the handset sideways. Adapting further to your needs, is the 3.15 megapixel camera which delivers every photo to you just the way you desire. Android smartphones offer compatibility with more web sites, using flash support. Web pages can be zoomed with the touch of your finger, making browsing for you more comfortable. This smartphone will aim to organise your home and work life with it’s organiser, document viewer/editor and a range of Google applications including Maps (excellent for any last minute navigation problems). Messaging on this handset is much more efficient than any other smartphone as it has the Samsung Social Hub which offers superb messaging as a social media device. Also, access to Facebook, E-mail and Twitter has never been more open.
